some quick questions - Guild Wars Forums

I plan on buying GW, and I just have some things I need to ask.

-When you die, does your experience go down? (like in Lineage)
-How much customization is there for your character? Like.. in some games you run around the world and you're like "Wow, i've seen 6 clones of me this hour!"

There's no permanent penalty for dying, but your max health and energy are affected by a temporary "Death Penalty" which you can reduce either by earning experience killing monsters (something like 1% for every 100 XP), or by entering a town (removes DP entirely).

There is a good amount of customization. Between the hair/haircolor/face/skincolor/height options at creation, there are several different types of armor for each class as well as mixable dyes to color your armor. You may see clones of yourself in early areas, but when you get further in people diversify quickly.
